A portable head spa basin is a tank-fed wash basin on wheels: clean water in one tank, waste water in another, no plumbing needed. It suits mobile therapists, rooms without a water line and salons testing demand before a fixed unit. Our Nagisa costs $2,290 excl. VAT; you supply your own table or bed.
What is a portable head spa basin?
A portable head spa basin is the wash basin part of a head spa station on its own, mounted on a base with wheels and fed from tanks instead of a water line. Our model is the Nagisa head spa basin at $2,290 excl. VAT.
- Tank-fed. A clean-water tank supplies the water for the ritual; a waste-water tank collects the rinse. There is no connection to the building’s plumbing.
- Roll it into place. You bring the basin to the client’s head on a bed or table you already own.
- Light therapy built in. LED colour light therapy in the basin, as on every Headspastore model.
- 2 finishes. The fixed units come in 42 vegan-leather finishes; the Nagisa in 2.
- Same terms as the rest of the range. Made to order, delivered to your door in 8 to 10 weeks for $199 with import duties included, 2-year warranty on normal use, 110 to 240 V with the right plug for your country, CE marked.
It is the one exception in our range. Every table, bed and chair connects to the salon’s cold and hot water supply and a drain and works at mains pressure, with no pump or heater inside. The Nagisa trades that permanent connection for mobility.
Who is a portable head spa basin for?
Mobile therapists
If you treat clients at home, in hotel rooms or at events, a plumbed unit is not an option. The Nagisa travels with your massage table: fill the clean tank, roll it to the head end, empty the waste tank afterwards. The ritual itself stays the same: water from the basin, scalp cleanse and massage, light therapy.
Rooms without plumbing
An upstairs treatment room, a rented chair in a shared space, or a room where the nearest drain is on the other side of the building. Running pipes may be impossible, or not worth it on a lease you do not control. A tank-fed basin lets you add head spa to the menu without touching the walls.
A second station
A salon with a fixed station may want a second one for busy days or a second therapist, without a second plumbing job. A Nagisa next to a spare massage table covers that, and it can be rolled away when the room is needed for something else.
A trial before a fixed unit
If you want to test demand before committing to a plumbed table or bed, the basin lets you run real rituals at full price first. If head spa takes off, you order the fixed unit and keep the Nagisa for mobile work or the second station.
What are the limits of a tank-fed basin?
An honest list, because the Nagisa is the right choice for some salons and the wrong one for others.
- You need your own table or bed. The basin is not a 2-in-1; there is no padded lid and no treatment surface. The client lies on a table you provide.
- Tanks to fill and empty. Before each ritual you fill the clean tank, and afterwards you empty the waste tank. That takes time and some lifting, which adds up at three rituals a day.
- No foot bath, no electric backrest. Those belong to the beds. The Nagisa delivers the basin part of the ritual, with light therapy.
- 2 finishes instead of 42. Matching the unit to your room is simpler on a fixed table or bed.
- Not a plumbed experience. A direct water line gives continuous water at mains pressure; a tank gives what you put in it.

When should you choose fixed plumbing instead?
Choose a plumbed table or bed when head spa is going to be a daily service in one room. The signs:
- You plan 3 or more rituals a day, so tank handling becomes a job of its own.
- The room is yours to plumb, and one plumber’s visit costs less than the time the tanks will take over a year.
- You want the full ritual with foot bath and electric backrest, which only the beds offer.
- You want the station to double as a massage or facial table through the padded lid.
- You want the finish to match the room, from 42 options rather than 2.
The math behind the choice: our ROI calculator uses $95 per ritual, 3 a day, 5 days a week as an indicative example, which is about $6,170 of revenue per month. At that pace a one-off plumbing visit is quickly covered, so a Komorebi at $2,190 excl. VAT or a Rindo at $2,790 excl. VAT is usually the better daily workhorse. Quick answers
Does a portable head spa basin need plumbing?
No. The Nagisa is fed from its own clean-water tank and drains into a waste-water tank, so you roll it into place and start. Every other Headspastore model connects to cold and hot water and a drain.
How much does a portable head spa basin cost?
The Nagisa costs $2,290 excl. VAT, plus $199 delivery to your door with import duties included, with a 2-year warranty on normal use.
Do I need my own table with the Nagisa?
Yes. The Nagisa is the basin only; the client lies on a massage table or bed you provide. There is no padded lid.
Can I choose the colour of a portable head spa basin?
The Nagisa comes in 2 finishes. Tables, beds and chairs come in one upholstery colour from 42 vegan-leather finishes.
Is a portable basin a good way to test head spa before buying a bed?
Yes. You can run real rituals first, then order a plumbed table or bed and keep the basin for mobile work or as a second station.
How long does delivery of the Nagisa take?
Like every model, the Nagisa is made to order and delivered in 8 to 10 weeks. You receive a tracking number when it ships.
