Where to buy a Japanese head spa, and what to check before you order

The four places a salon owner can buy a Japanese head spa, the eight checks that matter more than the channel, and how a made-to-order purchase from Headspastore runs from payment to delivery.

You can buy a Japanese head spa bed through online marketplaces, local salon-furniture dealers, direct importers or a specialist shop. The channel matters less than eight checks: basin material, mains water or an internal pump, warranty and spare parts, duties included, voltage, crate size, installation and whether technical questions get answered before you pay.

Where can a salon buy a Japanese head spa?

Search for “japanese head spa bed” or “buy head spa” and four kinds of seller come up. None is wrong by definition. They differ in how much homework they leave to you.

Channel What it is What to ask before you pay
Marketplace listings General online platforms where many sellers list head spa beds next to unrelated products Who is the actual seller, are duties and VAT in the price, which voltage, who answers after the sale
Local salon-furniture dealers Dealers that sell chairs, trolleys and beds for salons, with head spa as one line among many Is head spa a specialism or a side line, who installs, who ships spare parts
Direct importers Companies that import and resell, usually with a short product description Basin material, mains water or internal pump, warranty length, crate size
Specialist head spa shops Shops that sell head spa equipment only, with catalogues and connection drawings The same checks, plus whether technical questions are answered before payment

Headspastore is in the last group: a specialist run from Herselt, Belgium, shipping worldwide to salons, spas and hotels. Our customers include salons in the US, Belgium and the Netherlands, and you can read what they say on our reviews page.

What should you check before you order a head spa bed?

These eight checks come from our own experience buying and selling head spa equipment. Treat them as questions to ask whoever you buy from. The third column shows how we answer them.

Check Why it matters How Headspastore handles it
1. Basin material The basin holds water and a head every day. Acrylic or ceramic lasts; thin plastic does not. Acrylic on the Sora, Rindo, Yawara and Kogane; ceramic on all other tables and beds.
2. Water: mains or an internal pump and heater A pump and heater inside the unit are more parts to fail and to service. Direct water line at mains pressure, no pump or heater inside. The portable Nagisa is tank-fed.
3. Warranty and spare parts A warranty is only useful if someone can ship the part. 2-year warranty on normal use; spare parts shipped from the factory.
4. Import duties included (DDP) Duties not in the price arrive as a carrier invoice before the pallet is released. Delivered to your door for $199 per unit with import duties included.
5. Voltage and plug The wrong plug means an electrician before the first client. 110 to 240 V, correct plug for your country included.
6. Crate size versus your door A pallet that does not fit the route stays outside. Crate roughly 210 x 80 x 100 cm, 120 to 200 kg; the carrier schedules delivery to the door.
7. Who installs Water and drain have to be connected by someone. You do, with a plumber recommended; connection drawings are in the catalogue.
8. Technical answers before payment A seller who cannot answer now will not answer later. Email info@headspastore.com; dimensions and water connections are in the catalogue PDF.

Two more questions are worth asking anywhere: is the price excl. or incl. VAT, and are the headrest, steam unit and light included or sold as extras. At Headspastore all of those are included and prices are excl. VAT.

How does ordering from Headspastore work?

Every unit is made to order by our factory partner, so the process is the same for a single table and a full spa.

  1. Choose the model and finish. 17 models across tables, beds, chairs and the portable basin, each in one upholstery colour from 42 vegan-leather finishes (the Nagisa has 2). Use the catalogue PDF for dimensions and water connections.
  2. Pay 100% upfront. Card, Klarna or bank transfer. Prices are excl. VAT; EU businesses with a valid VAT number pay 0% under the reverse charge, and outside the EU no Belgian VAT applies.
  3. 48 hours of free cancellation. You can cancel free of charge within 48 hours of payment, before the factory order. After that the unit is built in your finish and no changes, cancellation or returns are possible. The full terms are on the returns page.
  4. Production, about 7 days. The factory builds the unit to your order.
  5. Transport, 28 to 35 days. We send the tracking number when it ships. Delivery to your door costs $199 per unit with import duties included; the carrier contacts you to schedule the day. Current conditions are on the delivery and warranty page.
  6. Delivered in 8 to 10 weeks. The crate arrives on a pallet at your door. Your plumber connects water and drain, you plug in and book the first client.
  7. 2-year warranty. On normal use, with spare parts shipped from the factory. Every unit is CE marked.

Which head spa model should you start with?

If you simply want “a head spa bed”, start with the Komorebi at $2,190 excl. VAT: a ceramic 2-in-1 table that also serves massage and facials. The other common starting points:

  • Tight budget: the Sora, $1,990 excl. VAT, acrylic basin, same 2-in-1 layout.
  • Foot bath as part of the ritual: the Rindo, $2,790 excl. VAT, our bestseller with hydrotherapy foot bath and electric backrest.
  • Premium bed: the Towa, $3,190 excl. VAT, foot bath, electric backrest and ceramic basin.
  • No plumbing in the room: the Nagisa portable basin, $2,290 excl. VAT, tank-fed, used with your own bed or table.
  • Chair footprint: the Kohaku, $4,490 excl. VAT, a head spa chair whose electric backrest reclines fully flat.

All tables and beds are in the head spa beds and tables category; every model is on the shop page.
